With mixer on medium speed, cream together sugar and butter, beat in the eggs and the vanilla. Turn mixture down to low and slowly add flour and baking soda. Turn off mixer and use a wooden spoon t stir in the oats and candy.
Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375 F for 8-11 minutes or until edges begin to turn light brown. Cool for one minute on cookie sheets, then transfer to cooling racks of foil lined counter. Allow to cool completely.
Makes approximately 42 cookies.
